Gym opens at 7:30. A brief coaches/captains meeting will take place at 7:40 A.M. to go over the ground rules for the day. It is not necessary for teams who have to travel to make it to this meeting if you are not scheduled to play at 8:00 A.M. but please be there by 8:30 A.M. Please check with the Site Director when you do arrive for roster changes, etc.

USVBA Rules will apply.

WARM UP FORMAT

10 Minute warm-up applies to the first 2 matches of the pool play each day and first matches of bracket play. A 2-4-4 format will be used for the 10 minute warm-up. The first two minutes will be for ball handling, followed by 4 minutes on the court for the serving team and then 4 minutes for the receiving team.

5 Minute Warm-up applies to all other matches. A 1-2-2 format will be used for the 5 minute warm up.

FORMAT

Format- 2(4) team pools. Pool play will be 2 games rally scoring 25 points with a 27-point cap.
* If the two team split their sets the team with the most favorable point differential will be award the match.
* If the two teams split there sets and the scores of the sets are the same resulting in a 0 point differential, an additional point would need to be played at the end of the second game.
Example: team A wins set one 25-22, team B wins set two 25-22, an addition point should be played in game two

Top two teams advance to the Gold Division and the 3rd & 4th place teams advance to the Silver Division.

Playoffs will begin after pool is completed. A playoff match is two out of three games to 25 pt., no cap. If a deciding game is needed it will be 15-point rally scoring, switch at 8 points and no cap.

10-11-12’s DIVISION RULES

* Net Height is 7’0”

* We do move the serving line in 7 feet. (Just like President’s Day & NCR Area Events do when they have a single division)

* You must serve behind this 7 foot line. No stepping over.

* We will be using the Volleylite ball We will not be furnishing balls. We ask each team to have at least one playable ball. Coaches will decide what ball to use.

 

Make sure you check with the site director before leaving tournament.

Concessions and Tee Shirts will be on sale. Please remind your players and spectators. Thanks!

15/16's BIG LAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL FORMAT

Format- 2(5) team pools. Pool play will be 2 games rally scoring 20 points with a 22-point cap.
* If the two team split their sets the team with the most favorable point differential will be award the match.
* If the two teams split there sets and the scores of the sets are the same resulting in a 0 point differential, an additional point would need to be played at the end of the second game.
Example: team A wins set one 20-17, team B wins set two 20-17, an addition point should be played in game two

15/16's LIBERTY ELEMENTARY FORMAT

Format- 2(4) team pools. Pool play will be 2 games rally scoring 25 points with a 27-point cap.
* If the two team split their sets the team with the most favorable point differential will be award the match.
* If the two teams split there sets and the scores of the sets are the same resulting in a 0 point differential, an additional point would need to be played at the end of the second game.

TRAVEL

A very limited number of teams will travel between sites at the conclusion of pool play. All teams required to travel for their playoff brackets MUST GO DIRECTLY THE THE NEXT SITE!

Make sure you check with the site director before leaving tournament.
