Gym opens at 7:30. A brief coaches/captains meeting will take place at 7:40 A.M. to go over the ground rules for the day. It is not necessary for teams who have to travel to make it to this meeting if you are not scheduled to play at 8:00 A.M. but please be there by 8:30 A.M. Please check with the Site Director when you do arrive for roster changes, etc.
USVBA Rules will apply.
WARM UP FORMAT
10 Minute warm-up applies to the first 2 matches of the pool play each day and first matches of bracket play. A 2-4-4 format will be used for the 10 minute warm-up. The first two minutes will be for ball handling, followed by 4 minutes on the court for the serving team and then 4 minutes for the receiving team.
5 Minute Warm-up applies to all other matches. A 1-2-2 format will be used for the 5 minute warm up.
15/16's BIG LAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL FORMAT
Format- 2(5) team pools. Pool play will be 2 games rally scoring 20 points with a 22-point cap.
* If the two team split their sets the team with the most favorable point differential will be award the match.
* If the two teams split there sets and the scores of the sets are the same resulting in a 0 point differential, an additional point would need to be played at the end of the second game.
Example: team A wins set one 20-17, team B wins set two 20-17, an addition point should be played in game two
15/16's LIBERTY ELEMENTARY FORMAT
Format- 2(4) team pools. Pool play will be 2 games rally scoring 25 points with a 27-point cap.
* If the two team split their sets the team with the most favorable point differential will be award the match.
* If the two teams split there sets and the scores of the sets are the same resulting in a 0 point differential, an additional point would need to be played at the end of the second game.
Example: team A wins set one 25-22, team B wins set two 25-22, an addition point should be played in game two
All teams will advance to one of the following playoff divisions; Gold (1st in Pool), Silver (2nd in Pool), Bronze (3rd in Pool), Tin (4th in Pool)
Medal for 1st, 2nd place of Gold, Silver, Bronze and Tin Divisions
Playoffs will begin after pool is completed.
TRAVEL
A very limited number of teams will travel between sites at the conclusion of pool play. All teams required to travel for their playoff brackets MUST GO DIRECTLY THE THE NEXT SITE!
Make sure you check with the site director before leaving tournament.
